Haute Couture Inspiration

Haute Couture means exactly what it is... 'high sewing'. Each garment is made like a piece art... intoducing new forms and details to really evoke that breathtaking feeling. Essentially custom made for various high roller buyers, the general public however can always be inspired by Haute Couture. I felt like pictures of the entire garment from head to toe did not do the piece justice, so I filtered through the details gallery from the F/W 2012/13 shows.
I found layers upon layers of ruffles in the Giambattista Valli show, automatons in Jean Paul Gaultier and a simple clutch of a Chanel bag showing the close-up of tweed... those were the photos that stayed vivid in my mind.

DUPE ALERT: Chloe Studded Ankle Boots

Most people would have seen those Chloe studded ankle boots released as part of their Pre-Fall 2008 collection which retails for over $1000. Although couple of seasons old, I couldn't help posting this dupe that I found which just might be your last chance on purchasing this particular style. Both these styles are crafted in leather with gold tone studs and that unique trio adjustable buckles. The only different is the slightly thinner heel on the Jeffrey Campbell's and of course... the price.

Below are the Chloe Studded Ankle Boots.
DUPE: Jeffrey Campbell Starburst Stud Boot. Retails for $225.

Jeffrey Campbell Pastel Crochet Lita ... DIY Floral Crown

Just a little preview into what's in store for my spring series (coming up in September). If you're living in the Northern Hemisphere, I hope this post inspires and encourages you to cherish the warmer weather as you can wear these amazing pastels.

Forever dreaming about summer, I've been keeping myself busy by making a floral garland and also online shopping to stock up on spring clothing. Amongst all the EOFY sales, my friend and I were lucky enough to snag some Jeffrey Campbells ... for lets just say a VERY resonable price. I couldn't find a link to the pastel Litas shown above however the crochet series comes in two other colours... cream crochet and black crochet.

Watch this space in the beginning of September for my DIY floral garland posts and various personal style pictures.
