The entire photoshoot is a field trip around Antigua, Guatemala. With such vibrancy in culture, you can feel the Spanish baroque influence in For Love and Lemons 'Land of Eternal Spring' Collection. Jumping from rooftops to fruit markets, the design team was inspired by Antigua's local architecture and explosion of colours, food and culture.

All this energy was reflected in the clothes; sun drenched and carefree. The colour palette mostly consisted of primary shades but turned up in saturation to produce bright lapis, scarlet and canary yellow.
To me, it was the details that stood out. Spaghetti straps, bobble trims and spider lace paired with basic A-line and fit-and-flare shapes made this collection a winner in my books.

OUTFIT POST: Jump Suit

Jumpsuit: c/o Missguided (shop HERE) ... Fedora: Lack of Color (shop HERE)
Shoes: Shubar ...  Bracelet: c/o Boticca (shop HERE
Bag: Badgley Mischka ... Sunnies: Seafolly

Entering into my transitional outfits series, I will show some inspiration and styling tips on how to tackle weather PMS. You're probably familiar with this; chilly morning, hot and humid around midday then comes the windy afternoon. Such is the cycle that drives everyone in Sydney mad.

Keeping all that in mind, the ideal transitional piece from summer to autumn is a lightweight jumpsuit. The one shown above from the Missguided Peace + Love collection is thin enough to keep you cool but the leg coverage prevents those awkward skirt flashes on a windy day (admit it, it happens a lot).

In my book, autumn is to fedoras as spring is to floral crowns. Originally associated with gangsters in the 1920s, I think this wide-brim hat has reinvented itself as chic and sophisticated within the 21st century.

Finally, always bring sunglasses. More of a personal reason; I hate squinting while I walk down the road trying to figure out whether it's a green or red light coming up ahead. Sunnies can save your life ... and you heard it from me first.

BAMBI

Givenchy's last F/W 2013/14 collection seemed to have inspired the Australian label, Cameo. First shown off the runway in Paris, I predicted the Bambi printed jumper (shown above) would be a street style fav and future victim to cheaper high street dupes. Indeed it has been seen on Anna Della Russo, Lily Collins, Amanda Seyfried and Carine Roitfeld, all falling for this Bambi craze.

I have a lot of respect for the local brand Cameo. Their keen eye for original prints and shapes has always surprised yet impressed me from one collection to the next. Props to them again for taking on board this adorable Disney reference and putting their own spin on it (pictures below). Cue the hottest animal print ... the doe (shop HERE).
