OUTFIT POST: Prism

It's been a month since I've done a blog shoot - such a long time I've forgotten that awkward feeling in front of the camera. 

Todays ensemble has seemingly little to do with the three dimensional shape we learnt back in primary school called a 'prism'. Neither the shape nor the angles have any resemblance to the clothes. But there was a crispness to the outfit; a strong definition of lines, a sharp structure that made this title so appropriate. Not to mention the jagged light bouncing off the walls every morning in this particular nook in my house. 

Come autumn and the transitional outfits start rolling in. My neither-here-nor-there jumpers, jackets, cardigans, pullovers get put to good use. You know those ones: too thick to wear in summer but too breezy for winter. You'll freeze unless you master the art of layering. 

Come autumn, it's the perfect time to pair sleeveless bustiers with boyfriends jeans and a full blown blazer. Why stop at boyfriend jeans when there's the deconstructed and ripped varieties. In fact, why stop at a blazer when it can come with an extra piece of fabric at the back making you feel like superwoman saving the day. 

Yes, come autumn, capes are perfectly acceptable. Everyone needs that power boost.
