Bag: Steve Madden ... Shoes: Wittner
Most people invest in houses, shares, assets and all that economic jazz.
But I consider silk shirts to be the most satisfying form of investment. Take good care of it and it can become your sartorial best friend from winter through to summer, for the rest of your life.
This is the first installment of my outfit series styling the signature Equipment silk shirt (mine is in Klein Blue). To me they are the classic case of hating what you don't understand. I couldn't justify that price for just a button up collared blouse. However upon draping the lustrous silk over my shoulders, I succumbed to the hype.
This look is styled with a dressier aesthetic in mind. Paired with a printed skirt, which reminds me of the design on fine porcelain, and black pumps, this outfit is definitely work appropriate. Swap the heels for some tan brogues and it becomes a look suited for a lunch date with friends.
Stay tuned for part 2 of this OOTD series ...
