How is it that you look 100x more stylish the moment you chuck a structured blazer into the mix? BAM from average girl next door to fashion week worthy (wow what a pipe dream that is). There really is just something special about a blazer and the way in which it can make any outfit look like you've actually put some thought into it.
This ensemble is quite straight forward. Called 'layers' because that's essentially what it consists of; a cascade of layers from the front and back. Not the generic 'I'm wearing a hundred jumpers' sort of layering but more understated ... transition piece in progress. I started with a floral-cross-pleather peplum top as a base. Then this muted lilac beauty of a blazer featuring strategically placed frills and subtle cut-outs served as the cherry on top. Add into the equation some pleather shorts to accompany the material of the peplum and you've got yourself one heck of an illusion.
Of course don't forget the creepers and floral crown which I can't really justify aesthetically. Creepers... because they're cool and I can stand on my toes in them. Crown ... because I make them? Also, if you're REALLY observant you would've realised that my owl necklace seems to disappear after the first shot. To be honest, it was a case of too many cooks spoil the broth.
